Plaster and Hemp

For manual applications, mix Intonaco e Canapa by adding 6-6.5 liters of clean water per 25 kg bag in a cement mixer. Pour the correct amount of water into the cement mixer, then add the powdered product. Mix the product for approximately 2-3 minutes until a smooth, lump-free mixture is obtained. Apply the product with a trowel like a traditional plaster. The mixed product can be used within 2 hours of mixing with water. Corner guards, separation strips, level guides, etc. must be installed before applying the plaster layer to the entire wall. For mechanical spraying applications, apply the product evenly in a single layer, with a thickness of between 10 and 20 mm. Subsequent layers can be applied as long as the previous layer is not completely dry. The plaster is then leveled and finished using an aluminum straight edge. Any burrs or excess material are removed by scraping and polishing the surfaces.

The surfaces thus prepared are ready for finishing products: to achieve a fine, natural finish, use Malta Fine indoors and Stabilitura Naturale Traspirante Plus outdoors; to achieve a textured finish, use Canapulino or Canaposo.
