Biosafe Validation Certificate

Blocco Ambiente® and the products related to it, such as Malta di Allettamento®, Bio Beton® Pronto, Bio Beton® and Bio Beton® 500 Venezia, have obtained the Biosafe Validation Seal, certifying their healthiness.

The Biosafe product validation is a voluntary certification of material healthiness. Starting from a common evaluation of the emissivity of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs, which include substances such as formaldehyde and PAHs, etc.), the Biosafe protocol then requires the verification of specific health requirements based on the type of material and its specific health risk.

Emissivity of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

Biosafe evaluates a construction product through a bibliographic analysis of the certifications already held by the manufacturer, the study of the performance related to the corresponding “active” and/or “low-emissive” technologies, and a possible diagnostic deepening in order to extrapolate the actual product characteristics related to Indoor Air Quality.

Biosafe and quality certification protocols

The Biosafe validation mark is recognized in the certification contexts related to indoor air quality in the following protocols: CasaClima (Hotel, School, and Nature), ARCA, and ClimAbita (EcoLife Home). Within these protocols, the Biosafe validation is considered as a mark of compliance with the product performance requirements specified in the above certifications.
